"I just graduated from The Bay School of San Francisco with a 4.0 unweighted GPA, and I plan to study applied mathematics at UC Berkeley next year.

As a tutor, I bring both my recent experience preparing for the new digital SAT (780 Math, 750 Reading & Writing) and my work developing a website (desbros.org) that teaches high school students how to use the online Desmos Graphing Calculator. Desmos is a free, invaluable tool that is now integrated into the adaptive SAT. Using it efficiently and intuitively is key to scoring well on a test that rewards speed and accuracy. I help students prepare for the SAT math section broadly, while also offering targeted tips and strategies for specific question types. I've developed an interactive, self-paced SAT math course that covers all major question types, walks through detailed problem-solving techniques, and features integrated practice questions to reinforce understanding.

My academic background includes advanced honors coursework in calculus, linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and physics. In these courses, I regularly assisted my classmates by explaining difficult concepts and working through challenging problems together. I have experience tutoring high school and middle school students across a spectrum of abilities and learning styles.

My approach to tutoring is to provide a supportive, collaborative environment and offer personalized feedback in a positive manner. Whether I'm guiding a student through a tricky SAT problem or introducing them to modern graphing strategies, my goal is to inspire confidence and curiosity in their approach to mathematics." less...
