Why bother with math and science? Well, math and science topics, whether they are at the high school or college level, are the tools we use to understand the physical world around us. Whether or not one wishes to pursue a career in the sciences, it is generally useful to have a better appreciation of our surroundings, and we improve our ability to understand and appreciate our surroundings through math and science.
About me: I received my PhD in chemistry (spectroscopy) from the University of California (go Bears!). I am married and have two children who benefit from my being a stay at home parent.
