"I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Media Studies and minors in Data Science and Political Economy. Through my studies, I developed strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, as well as experience breaking down complex ideas into simple explanations — something that is especially important when working with young students.
I currently work as a Business Analyst at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In my role, I regularly explain new concepts to people with different learning styles, guide others step-by-step through processes, and create clear, structured plans to help them succeed. This work has helped me become very patient, encouraging, and attentive to how others learn.
I have also enjoyed helping younger children in my community with homework and reading practice informally, which sparked my interest in working with early elementary students.
I am beginning my journey into early-elementary tutoring (grades K–3) and am excited to support students with:
•early reading and phonics
•reading confidence and fluency
•basic writing skills
•foundational math concepts
My approach is warm, calm, and student-centered. I believe that young learners thrive when they feel comfortable and supported, so I move at the child’s pace, encourage questions, and celebrate small wins. I aim to help students build confidence as well as academic skills.
Although I am newer to formal tutoring, I am very dedicated, reliable, and thoughtful about how children learn. I work one-on-one with students and communicate clearly with parents so we can partner together in supporting their child.
I would love to connect with families who are looking for a patient, caring tutor to encourage and guide their young learner." less...
