"Hello!
My name is Tyler, and I am extremely grateful to be a part of your (or your child's) academic journey.
As a current University and Presidential Scholar at The University of Chicago, I double major in Creative Writing: Fiction & English Language and Literature. Perceptibly: reading and writing lay the foundations of my wheelhouse.
As a college applicant, I obtained a perfect ACT score and was accepted to eleven of the top twenty 2025 U.S. News universities. A public school student from Long Island, NY, my life was utterly transformed by these acceptances. Having only recently gone through the college application process, I understand the ins-and-outs of what it takes to be successful in this battleground arena—not as it was five or ten years ago but as it stands now! Please allow me to assist you (or your student), and I guarantee there will be no regrets.
My previous mentorship of students spans a plethora of experiences including engagement through Tutoring Chicago, reading to children in Chicago's south side, and serving as a mentor through the Adroit Journal. I have tutored students as young as seven in basic math, English, and social skills, cultivating significant grading success. I have similarly worked with ninth and tenth graders who are transitioning into more of a scholastically defining phase of their education, developing strong connections, allowing students to define goals they didn't know they previously had, and bolstering their efforts to achieve such ambitions.
My approach to tutoring is simple: passion. I strive to identify every student's motivation, the thing that drives them or beckons them profusely. What do they enjoy? What do they want? Then, we fit that love into an academic setting and utilize this newly-settled context to greatly nourish our success—together.
Thank you,
Tyler" less...
