"Hello there! I’m Hassan, a language arts and intercultural educator with a passion for the power of words.

My professional teaching experience includes 5+ years as a faculty at two international institutions where I designed and facilitated courses in Public Speaking, Analytical Reading, Business and Academic Writing, and English as a Foreign Language (I’m a CELTA-certified English instructor). I now work as a full-time tutor, helping students craft speeches, academic papers, and college application essays that are both meaningful and impactful.

When it comes to writing, my method is highly iterative: we’ll spend plenty of time brainstorming creative ideas, editing multiple drafts, and actualizing your most confident inner voice!

Along with the art of communication, I’m avidly interested in all things related to the past. As a Master’s student in Religion at the UChicago Divinity School, I focused on analyzing the language and symbols of ancient and medieval religious texts to understand what they can teach us as modern global citizens. I currently offer tutoring in world history and religions.

As a side hobby, I also teach several foreign tongues including Arabic and Urdu. I've studied Arabic for ten years and recently participated in a cultural exchange program in Jordan where I lived for a year under a Fulbright grant. I’m also a heritage speaker of Urdu, which I pursued for two years at the graduate level under a Foreign Language and Area Studies scholarship. I’d be delighted to help you on your journey to fluency in one of these beautifully rich languages!
