"Hi there, I'm Liz! I recently graduated from UCI with Honors, earning a degree in Human Biology and a premed focus. I graduated with a 3.901 GPA. I also graduated highschool with a 4.67 GPA, passed 10 AP's with 5's and 4's, and was able to give a speech to my graduating class. This was thanks to some wonderful teachers--and some outstanding tutors!--that helped guide me on a path to success. I realized that, while I could follow along in class, I often had extraneous questions that needed personal one-on-one time. I know how nerve-wracking it is to put yourself out there, and I keep that in mind when trying to teach someone! No question is a dumb question with me.

I'm always willing to explore questions a student has, and to adapt my teaching to fit their needs. If they rather walk through problems on their own and have me on standby, that's perfectly alright; if they rather I be a guiding hand, that's OK too. I try my best to teach through examples that are easy to understand, and make the time spent fun, engaging, and memorable.

I have been tutoring on Wyzant for 2 years now! Previous to that, my main experience teaching was from helping my younger sister throughout her years in homework. But I was also President and Founder of my school's Creative Writing Club, President of our Speech and Debate Class, and passed both AP Lang and AP Lit with 5's.
