"I am a California credentialed teacher with a Master of Education and a strong background working with diverse learners across multiple settings. Before becoming a full-time teacher, I spent several years working in a group home with middle and high school students with special needs, as well as supporting students in an elementary SDC classroom. These experiences strengthened my patience, my ability to individualize instruction, and my understanding of how to help students with a wide range of academic and behavioral needs. I also hold a bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine and an associate degree in Liberal Arts.
In addition to my special education background, I worked as a substitute teacher for two years before becoming a credentialed teacher, which allowed me to support students from kindergarten through high school. I am now in my third year teaching elementary students in a general education classroom. My experience across grade levels has given me a deep understanding of reading development, writing skills, foundational math concepts, and strategies that help students stay organized and confident. I have taught in whole-class, small-group, and one-on-one settings, and I enjoy helping students who need extra support or who benefit from clear, step-by-step instruction.
My tutoring style is patient, structured, and encouraging. I take time to understand each student’s strengths and challenges so I can create lessons that match their needs and learning style. Whether I am helping a student improve reading comprehension, strengthen writing skills, build math understanding, or complete homework, my goal is always to help them feel capable and motivated. I believe in building confidence as much as academic skill, and I look forward to helping your child grow and succeed." less...
