"Hi everyone, I'm Jake and I'm a second year student at UCLA pursuing a bachelor of science in biochemistry. Throughout high school, I pursued a rigorous academic path, completing 14 AP and IB course and scoring eight 5 and four 4s on AP exams. I graduated with a 4.0 unweighted GPA and over a 4.8 weighted GPA, placing me in the top 1% of my class. At UCLA, I’ve continued to excel, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while completing a rigorous STEM course load.

Outside of academics, I’ve found the most fulfillment in supporting others, especially through education. I founded and currently lead a chapter of Reading Partners at UCLA, where I organize and lead weekly tutoring sessions for underserved youth.

My experience spans both academics and leadership, from co-founding finance and service based investment clubs to serving to volunteering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Boys Team Charity. These roles have helped me develop patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills, which are skills that I bring to each tutoring session.

I prefer to work with students at the high school level or below. I specialize in algebra, biology, and chemistry, but I’m also confident tutoring in the humanities.
