"I’m a UCLA Computer Science graduate student with several years of experience teaching and mentoring students across a range of ages and learning styles. Through my experiences as a tutor, teaching assistant, and instructor, I’ve learned that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and truly understand why something works — not just how to finish an assignment.
My teaching background includes tutoring middle school students in math, serving as a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate computer science courses at UCLA, and teaching children through one-on-one and small-group tennis and guitar lessons. These roles have helped me develop a patient, clear, and supportive teaching style, especially for younger students who may feel intimidated by math or technical subjects.
When tutoring, I focus on breaking concepts down into simple steps, checking for understanding often, and adjusting my explanations to match each student’s pace and learning style. I encourage students to think out loud, ask questions freely, and build confidence as they work through problems. I’m happy to help with homework, test preparation, or reinforcing material taught in class.
In addition to my teaching experience, I’ve held several customer-facing roles, which has strengthened my communication skills and reliability when working with both students and parents. I’m easy to reach, responsive to messages, and always aim to provide clear updates on progress and goals. I look forward to helping students feel more confident and capable in math and computer science." less...
