"Hi! My name is Denita and I graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Environmental Science and a minor in Conservation Biology. I work in the environmental field but have always had a strong passion for education and working with students. I have been tutoring high school and college students for over 10 years at UCLA and through private tutoring companies. In my time as a tutor, the main thing I've learned is to always cater each session to the needs of the individual student. Schools usually do not have the resources to personalize their lessons, which is why some students end up feeling lost and confused in their classes. But I strongly believe that every student can be successful if they are taught in ways that appeal to their abilities. I provide all of my students with creative, individualized lessons that allow them to learn at their own pace and study strategies that will help them reach their academic goals.

I have experience with mostly high school and college level students. I specialize in AP Environmental Science, biology, algebra, and geometry. I have also formally trained to tutor for the SAT and ACT in every subject and have taken both the AP and IB programs in high school.

I have weekday evening availability for tutoring sessions and would love to work with all students. I live in Culver City and work from home, so I am open to in-person sessions in West LA or online sessions.
