"Hi! I’m Anchita, a UNC Chapel Hill graduate with a degree in Neuroscience and minors in Chemistry and Philosophy and SAT of 1560. I’ve also been admitted to the UNC School of Medicine, an opportunity that reflects not only my academic dedication, but also my deep understanding of science, communication, and critical thinking. But beyond test scores and degree, what I value most is helping students gain confidence in themselves and their learning.

Over the past 6 years, I’ve tutored students of all ages, from early readers to high schoolers preparing for the SAT. I specialize in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and English language development, and I’ve also supported students in biology, chemistry, and standardized test prep. My teaching style is calm, encouraging, and highly adaptable. I like to start with a fun or low-pressure warm-up, teach concepts clearly and interactively, and leave time for students to practice with supportive feedback. My goal is always to meet students where they are, and build real confidence that lasts beyond the classroom.

I’ve worked with native English speakers as well as English language learners, and I believe every student deserves a teacher who listens, tailors lessons to their needs, and makes learning feel less intimidating.
