"Hello, I’m Carinne! I have worked in college admissions since 2017 at UNC Chapel Hill and University of Michigan, in addition to freelance and subcontracting positions with private companies. Through editing essays, developing school lists, application prep, mock interviewing, and more, I've supported students as they’ve matriculated into universities such as Harvard, Northwestern, Cambridge (UK), Dartmouth, UNC Chapel Hill, University of Michigan, the UC's, University of Washington and more! I also have experience working with students abroad (especially in the UK)!

A little bit about my academic background... I received my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and minor in Music from UNC Chapel Hill (out-of-state acceptance rate of <10%) in May 2020. I graduated as a Buckley Public Service Scholar and a Carolina Research Scholar. In December 2021, I received my Master's degree in Physiology from NC State.

During both my graduate and undergraduate studies, teaching was at the heart of all I pursued. I taught two undergraduate courses (BIO181: Ecology, Evolution, and Biodiversity and BIO 183: Cellular and Molecular Biology) at NC State. At UNC, I was a Teaching Assistant for Chemistry I, mentored students in research, taught music lessons to children, etc. I am very comfortable tutoring a variety of STEM courses and standardized testing (99% ACT).
