"Hello, I'm Max. I graduated from one of the top high schools in the U.S. at the top of my class with a 4.6 weighted GPA. I've had multiple educational honors, from being an AP Scholar with Distinction to being a National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist to scoring a 36 on the ACT exam. Currently, I'm attending Harvard College under the Neuroscience major and am maintaining a strong 4.0 unweighted GPA.

My previous tutoring background primarily includes tutoring over 10+ middle and high school students in STEM subjects (e.g. math/science) and standardized test prep (e.g. the ACT/SAT) for the past 2 years online. Beyond this tutoring of older students, I've also tutored younger students from K-6 in-person in Math and English for multiple years as part of my multiple years of volunteer service.

By default, my lessons are typically "office hours" style where I help out students with whatever questions they have for 1 hour. However, my personal teaching style is extremely adaptable and can fit whatever my students need to succeed, from helping them with homework, preparing for exams, or even reviewing course materials. I personally believe that all students have the ability to do well and that many academic struggles can be solved through a combination of hard work from the student and adequate support from teachers. To achieve this, I support students in all my lessons with strong encouragement and guidance to make them feel rewarded and happy with their personalized growth from learning. In doing so, I've found that students become much more intrinsically motivated and gain the determination to learn and do better in school." less...
