"I am a mathematics lecturer at Appalachian State University with formal training in mathematics, statistics, and mathematics education. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Georgia in 2017, followed by a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education in 2020. My academic background also includes completed doctoral coursework and PhD ABD status in Mathematics and Statistics Education at North Carolina State University.

I currently teach college-level mathematics courses, including precalculus, calculus, and statistics. In addition to classroom teaching, I have several years of experience working with students in one-on-one and small-group tutoring settings, including private tutoring and university math labs. Earlier in my career, I also supervised and supported other tutors, which gave me a broader perspective on common student difficulties and effective instructional approaches across a wide range of ability levels.
