"I am a certified teacher from Arizona who now resides in Oklahoma. I got my bachelor's degrees at the University of Central Washington in both History and Political Science. I proceeded to get my Master's in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University. I was a middle school teacher for both 6th and 7th grades in Arizona before moving to Oklahoma.

My teaching experience is largely classroom-based; because of this, I am familiar with multiple different curricula as well as supplemental materials to meet the needs of a wide variety of students. During this time, I also offered tutoring for individuals who were struggling or needed extra support within the content area of history. This ranged from basic geography to complex historical topics, such as the French Revolution.

I like to approach students in a tutoring setting by focusing on what can and will make them successful, prioritizing their schoolwork, assignments, tests, and any reading or writing that they may have. By doing this, I can work in tandem with their classroom teacher, and the student is much more likely to become successful. I also like to work on fundamental skills whenever applicable; critical thinking, reading comprehension, geography, and writing fluency are all essential skills for students studying history.
