"I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Mathematics, which have provided me with a deep and comprehensive understanding of mathematical theory, problem-solving techniques, and real-world applications. In addition to my academic credentials, I taught college mathematics for two years as a professor at the University of Michigan. This experience allowed me to refine the tools I use to communicate complex mathematical concepts in clear, accessible ways. My formal training covers a wide range of topics, including algebra, calculus, statistics, and discrete math, which allows me to support students at various academic levels.
I have over 10 years of tutoring working with students from middle school through college. From tutoring throughout high school and college, to teaching at the college level, I have vast experience with breaking down math concepts to learners at all levels. My teaching approach is highly adaptive—I prioritize understanding each student’s learning style and tailor my instruction to fit their needs, whether through step-by-step problem breakdowns, visual aids, or real-life examples.
I’ve worked with students of various ages and abilities. This includes adult learners looking to go back to school, students struggling to pass a class, and even high-achievers looking to deepen their understanding or get ahead. My goal is always to build confidence, promote critical thinking, and help students become independent problem-solvers. Whether in a formal academic setting or through private tutoring, I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking intellectual risks." less...
