"Hi! I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with distinction (Winter 2024). I am currently taking a gap year while applying to medical school and would love to help students in middle school, high school, or college build confidence and their knowledge of science.

I have a strong background in biology and chemistry, including Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Ecology, Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry. I enjoy learning about these subjects and teaching others, especially by breaking down these complex scientific topics into clear, manageable concepts.

During my three and a half years at the University of Michigan, I regularly supported friends and classmates by helping them study for exams, review challenging material, and work through difficult concepts in courses I had already completed. Through this experience, I developed a patient, methodical, and highly individualized teaching style. I start by reviewing what the student has been taught: identifying what a student already understands, pinpointing areas of confusion, and building from there at a pace that works best for them. I emphasize active learning, first reviewing the material together, then asking the student to teach me/explain concepts in their own words, as I believe that is key to truly mastering material.
