"Hi, I’m Elana! I’m an educator and multidisciplinary theater artist who loves creating positive, energized educational experiences for students of all ages. I hold a BA in Theater from UCLA’s prestigious School of Theater, Film, and Television and have over five years of teaching experience in a variety of different subjects and settings.

Fostering a love of learning is central to my approach as a teacher.

As an ENGLISH TUTOR - I offer homework support for students as well as supplemental classes to build skills in reading compression, vocabulary, and writing. In addition to promoting students’ academic success, I’m always excited to encourage creative thinking and expression through reading and writing.

As a THEATER TEACHER - I offer private coaching and classes in acting techniques for all levels, audition prep, monologue sourcing and coaching, the college audition process, devised theater, and Shakespeare (a personal favorite subject of mine). Younger students may also be interested in sessions built around imaginative movement and play.

I’ve taught theater professionally with various schools and arts organizations, and making theater education exciting, encouraging, and accessible to students of all ages and backgrounds is a passion of mine.
