"Hi, I'm Alishaa! I am a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), pursuing my Master’s degree in Computer Science and Information Technology. In December 2023, I graduated with a B.A. in International Relations & Global Business Management from the University of Southern California (USC), where I was a Dean’s Scholar. Having recently navigated admissions to highly selective programs myself, I bring an up-to-date understanding of current college application processes. Through my own academic journey and work with students, I have seen how strong writing and thoughtful guidance can open doors, and I strive to help students present their best selves through their applications and essays.

I have developed my coaching style through years of hands-on mentoring and, more recently, through direct work with college-bound students. I currently have multiple 5-star ratings from students on Wyzant and have worked with several applicants on their personal statements and supplemental essays—as well as with students seeking support for academic and personal essay writing. I often support students through tight deadlines and intensive revision cycles until their work feels clear and polished, guiding them forward with structure and encouragement.

My tutoring style is collaborative and student-centered. We begin by identifying a student’s goals, strengths, and areas of uncertainty, then build a plan that fits their timeline and writing style.
