My teaching preference is small groups of two to four because it's more fun and everybody learns from each other as well as from me and the teaching material. One-on-one tutoring is fine, however; I've done both successfully.

I enjoy seeing my students succeed and I go the extra distance to make it happen.

I chose U.S. History to help my students appreciate the story of their country, which has been the greatest force for good in the long history of civilizations.

I chose teaching the trombone because it is (with the violin) the most humanizing musical instrument, capable of reflecting every human mood and passion. We can't get too much of that.

I chose the Graduation Equivalency Diploma because young people who don't finish high school usually discover later that without that diploma their life isn't going anywhere. I'm here to help them reignite their dreams.

I chose the Armed Services Vocational Ability Battery because students need to know that serving your country in the military is a priceless opportunity, both because of the experience itself and because of all the benefits you get for a lifetime when you get out." less...
