"My name is Huy, and I’m a fourth-year medical student at UMass Chan Medical School, where I earned a full-tuition scholarship and was accepted to multiple top-30 medical school programs. I served on the UMass Chan Admissions Committee, giving me direct insight into how top schools evaluate applicants, how files are scored, and what differentiates truly exceptional candidates.

I graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a 3.97 GPA (top 1% of my class) across all core pre-med sciences, scored a 516 on the MCAT (93rd percentile), TA’d for general chemistry and biology for two years, and later scored in the top quartile (262) on USMLE Step 2 CK. I also previously worked at MedSchoolInsiders Medical School Advising Team, a YouTube channel with over 1 million subscribers dedicated to helping pre-med students succeed as well as offering medical school application advising + MCAT tutoring services.

Most recently, I completed a full-time research fellowship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital (Harvard), conducting radiology and AI research and collaborating with UCLA, Yale, and MGH. My work includes 20+ peer-reviewed publications, national presentations, and ongoing manuscripts across diagnostic radiology and artificial intelligence.
