"Hi, I'm Karthik and I'm currently a third-year medical student at NYU. Just a little bit about me: I grew up watching Khan Academy, where Sal Khan's visual drawings and explanations made math and physics click for me, and I gained an appreciation for the subjects in a way I probably otherwise wouldn't have. Since then, I've felt a drive to help others learn through teaching.

My background is in computer science, and I'm a previous USACO National Finalist and attended MIT for a BS and MEng in Computer Science and Biology. Afterward, I attended medical school at NYU.

My prior teaching experience involves developing educational material for my high school's computer science club and college's music production club, teaching math and physics to a high school classroom in Italy for a month, and tutoring an elementary schooler during COVID.

This school year, I have been tutoring students in USACO bronze through gold. I have built up my own curriculum for each level through collecting practice problems that emphasize the concepts I believe are highest-yield. However, my main approach is to identify where a student's biggest gaps are and work towards filling those gaps. I also believe that the best learning happens when lessons are interactive.
