"As a self-proclaimed lifelong learner and trivia enthusiast, I have always had a passion for knowledge and learning. My goal as a tutor has always been to make the experience of learning as fascinating and enjoyable as possible for my students. I have been tutoring in some way, shape or form since 2007, when I taught French and chess to middle school students. Since then, I have tutored a variety of subjects, ranging from Math at the high school level to US History to chess.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Sacramento, CA, I obtained a Bachelors in Mathematics from CSU Sacramento, and began working as a marketing and outreach contractor for National Academic Quiz Tournaments, an academic competition organization. I am also the vice president of Northern California Quiz Bowl Alliance.

As a chess aficionado myself, I love helping new players learn more about the game and strategies for how to improve. I have been playing chess since 2004, and I am currently a National Master with a rating of 2265.
