"It’s a pleasure to meet you! My name is Alex, and I am an anesthesiologist with a strong passion for teaching and mentoring future physicians. I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology from University of Wisconsin and my Medical Degree from Chicago Medical School. Throughout my own medical journey, I achieved top scores on both NBME and USMLE exams: Step 1: 260; Step 2 CK: 274; Step 3: 251.

I know firsthand how stressful and high-stakes this stage of your training can feel. That’s why I approach tutoring as coaching. My role is not only to help you master the material, but also to guide you in developing the right mindset, learning to think like a board examiner, and refining test-taking strategies that build confidence on exam day.

My experience includes over a decade of teaching as well as an extensive number of hours tutoring in both one-on-one and group settings, as well as teaching medical students during medical school and residency. To reiterate, I take a highly individualized approach to tutoring, focusing on comprehensive content review for both NBME and USMLE exams, targeted test-taking strategies through the analysis of question banks and past exams, and ongoing coaching throughout the preparation process. In addition, I emphasize developing the optimal test-day mindset to help students perform at their highest potential.

Every student learns differently, and together we will create an approach tailored to your strengths, learning style, and goals. My priority is to support you through the entire process and help you achieve the score you are aiming for.
