"Hello, my name is Nicole! I am currently a fourth-year medical student at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine (US MD). I also received a Bachelor of Science at Stony Brook University. I have a total of 8+ years of tutoring experience, focused on individualized learning with lesson plans curated to each student. I took both Step 1 and Step 2 back-to-back, passed Step 1 on my first pass, and scored 265 on Step 2. In addition, I have received excellent scores on all my NBME shelf clerkship exams and tutored others for these clerkships as well (Neurology, Psychology, Primary Care, Surgery, OBGYN).

I know first-hand how daunting it can be to even start planning a strategy to start studying whether it be for clerkship shelf exams or the USMLEs. I bring my experience to my tutoring approach and do everything I can to make learning a pleasant experience. I curate individualized lesson plans with practice questions to not only review high-yield content, but how to approach questions and break them down to simpler concepts. I aim to help you realize your potential in analyzing questions in an efficient manner and ultimately choosing the correct answer! Afterwards, I check in on every student and this method can be adjusted based on the subject and student's individual needs.

I have 8+ years of teaching experience since high school, tutoring in both informal settings and a professional settings through private companies (Select Med Tutors, etc.). Subjects I tutored included biology, microbiology, writing, personal statement writing, medical school clerkship shelf exams, and both Step 1 and Step 2. I worked directly with students, in either group setting or one-on-one sessions.
