My education: I’m a UT Austin freshman in the with a Stats/Data Science + Mathematics double major. I have taken 18 AP classes, and I’ve gotten 15 5’s and 3 4’s. I attended Plano West Senior High, and I was ranked 32/1300. I also got the National Merit Finalist Scholarship and a 1550 on the SAT.

My tutoring experiences in the past have included teaching my friend with ADHD how to do SAT reading and math, and we were able to improve his score by almost 150 points! I have also taught around 5 people how to use Adobe Photoshop in my AP art class.

I’m most adept at teaching high school students, but I have tutored my cousins who are in middle school with their math courses. I usually teach one on one classes. My general approach is to let the student show me how much they know (either by telling me or doing a practice test), teach them the concept building on what they do know, and finally guiding them through a set of practice questions. Before leaving the lesson, I give the student a list of what we did that day and resources (ex pdfs or Khan Academy) they can use to practice on their own.
