"My name is Karen, and I have been a high school English teacher for 15 years. I've taught all grade levels, and AP Literature. I have extensive experience in the STAAR/EOC exams for 9th and 10th grade. I've taught in person, online and hybrid during Covid. I've taught in Fort Bend, Cypress, and currently am in Katy.

I have my Bachelor's in English and a Master's in School Counseling. I am certified in English (8th-12th), School Counseling (EC-12), English as a Second Language (8th-12th) and Special Education (EC-12th).

My approach to teaching is student centered. I tailor my approach based on how the student learns best. Relevance is important in learning; I truly enjoy all English things, and share my joy with my students. My goal is to make you more confident in yourself and your English skills.
