"Hi, my name is Traci. I retired after 31 years from public school as a teacher of k-3 and then spent the last ten years as a reading specialist, where I oversaw literacy instruction in a k-5 school. I have a masters in Reading and I am certified by the Center for Effective Reading Instruction as a structured literacy teacher. I specialize in the Orton-Gillingham methodology. I have not only taught but also tutored children with dyslexia. However, this approach is available to all students, regardless of a disability. Your child will be formally assessed to determine a starting point for instruction. Your child will be engaged for 60 minutes of instruction that will include phonics, phonemic awarenss, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.
