"For more than a dozen years, I have been in the business of storytelling and writing. I was a journalist for more than a decade and worked my way up from reporter to editor. I then went from editor of a hyperlocal news website to a pivotal role as an editorial researcher at a global specialty news service catering to the financial community. Along the way, I wrote public relations and marketing material for Step Up for Students (Florida’s tax credit-funded private school voucher program) and Dow 30 corporations. My research into mergers and acquisitions across the U.S. found its way onto the desks of executives around the world. I also helped a young reporter become an investigative journalist (she is now an award-winning health reporter for the NPR affiliate in Tampa) and edited amateur authors.

I have the experience and skills to teach students how to enjoy reading and make their writing sing. I can teach them the power of writing and storytelling. I believe anyone can learn to write, and I can make learning to do so fun. With my help, students will ace their tests. improve their grades and become lifelong readers.
