"Beholding the blank page is often the scariest part of writing—whether you're a novice or advanced. My approach to tutoring focuses on helping you build clarity, confidence, and voice. I guide students through the entire writing process—from idea to impact—offering thoughtful, tailored feedback during brainstorming, structuring, drafting, and revision.

One of my go-to strategies is having students read their work aloud. It’s a powerful way to catch redundancy and confusion, but more importantly, it helps you hear your voice and begin to picture yourself as a writer.

I hold a B.A. in English from Covenant College and have worked in education since 2018. I'm a certified English Language Arts educator and former 7th Grade ELA Department Chair, where I led curriculum development and instructional coaching. Under my leadership, our department met—and in many cases exceeded—growth targets in English Language Arts during the 2021 pandemic year, as measured by Georgia Milestones. I was honored as a Teacher of the Year finalist in both 2020 and 2021 for my success and innovation in remote and hybrid teaching.

Over the past seven years, I’ve worked with students ranging from lower elementary to adult learners, in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I’ve taught reading comprehension, essay writing, vocabulary, and creative writing. Most recently, I served as a Student Success Coach at Campus, where I mentored college students in writing, study skills, and academic confidence. Prior to that, I worked as a Professional Learning Specialist at Amplify, where I led literacy-focused professional development for educators. My sessions were consistently rated as “Excellent,” and I maintained a Net Promoter Score of 70 or higher across indicators such as engagement, knowledge, and responsiveness—demonstrating both relational warmth and content expertise.
