"Hello, and welcome to my music studio! I have been teaching voice & piano lessons for 25 years, and I maintain a studio of students at the Shane Lalani Center for the Arts in Livingston, Montana USA. I love teaching young people & adults how to sing & play piano, focusing on vocal technique, breath control, projecting on a stage, and many other ways to improve your singing as well as fundamentals of piano, leading up to eventual study of the Classical composers.

I studied vocal performance and Classical piano at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri--specializing in singing in foreign languages like Italian, German, and French and accompanying. I stay active singing and playing piano in local community musical theater productions, landing some principal roles such as the Baker from Into the Woods and Tony from West Side Story.

If you become my voice student, we can go over many different singing styles, from Classical to Jazz, Broadway to Pop--whichever style you prefer (and maybe some of my own suggestions!). I will help you build a repertoire list of songs to continuously use in your lessons!

And if you become my piano student, we will go over the works you are studying by the Classical composers, or I will assign songs from a method book that I often use called Piano Adventures by Faber & Faber.

For my online lessons, I will teach from my music studio using a piano--just like if you are there in person for a voice lesson! Lessons will go for about an hour--and hopefully, your lesson can be scheduled at the same time each week, just like my other students in my studio. I have a 4 hour cancellation notice for lessons, so if something comes up just please let me know at least 4 hours before your lesson.
