"I'm Kevin! I graduated summa cum laude with two Bachelor's degrees, one in Mathematics and one in Computer Science, as well as with a minor in Japanese Studies. Throughout high school and college, my favorite courses always included two aspects: a teacher or professor who loved discussing the topic in great detail and would sometimes go above and beyond to satisfy our curiosity as well as classmates who enjoyed learning together and forming a peer tutoring group. I try to incorporate this energy into every tutoring session I hold, bringing not only lesson plans and materials but also extra knowledge that can be used to stimulate the desire to learn above and beyond what the bare lessons offer. I ensure that the student gets time to absorb the information and let them practice to fully understand the material. Of course, this doesn't work for every student - some students enjoy just learning visually whereas others like working through problems together with me as we go over how their lessons are applicable to the problem - so the tutoring method can be modified and tailored for each individual.

I have tutored over the past five years,with my experience ranging from holding help sessions online in Discord to holding in-person tutoring sessions. I work directly with each student if they need additional assistance, and I also hold group lessons when I have groups of students who are all working on the same lessons and materials. Though not quite the same, I've also held office hours as an undergraduate teaching assistant where I would work with over 20 students at a time to help them collectively understand the core concepts of their lessons. My tutoring experience includes subjects in various levels of Algebra, Calculus, and programming courses.
