"I am an experienced Language Arts tutor and Certified TESOL teacher with 15 years experience. I recently moved to the area from San Francisco where I worked with students in many of the Bay Area's premiere private and parochial schools. My teaching style is interactive and learner centered. Every student is different, I want to know what your goals are for your child, and to support them as they gain expertise. My own goal is to motivate and encourage all my students to work towards their highest possible proficiency and to enjoy their learning.

My work with young children is play-based, so kids have fun while they practice and learn. Children (and adults!) need to be motivated and engaged to learn. I strive to make a personal connection with my students and value the effort they put into their studies.

I am also a Certified Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages and member of CATESOL. I have worked with students from all over the world and have experience tutoring adults and children. I work with English Language Learners on Speaking, Writing, Reading Comprehension, Grammar and Pronunciation. I love getting to know my students, including their interests, hopes, talents and plans for the future. My work with adults includes assigning homework or practice periods after each session and periodic assessments to check in and re-focus goals.
