"For over two decades, I have been guiding learners of all ages to discover their strengths, build skills, and feel confident in their abilities. I hold an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from The University of Georgia, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida State University. My career has spanned public schools, private academies, international classrooms, and one-on-one coaching, giving me a deep understanding of both academic and emotional growth.
I have taught and supported students from elementary school through adulthood, using a blend of evidence-based academic strategies, social-emotional learning tools, and personalized goal-setting. My background includes conducting psychological evaluations, developing learning plans, leading social skills and stress management groups, and teaching mindfulness and yoga for focus and resilience. Whether helping a student grasp challenging concepts, improve study skills, or develop confidence in their own voice, I create a safe and encouraging space where learning can feel both achievable and enjoyable.
My teaching style is warm, attentive, and adaptive to each learner’s needs. I take time to understand how a student learns best, then create lessons that spark curiosity and invite progress without overwhelm. I believe tutoring is more than teaching content — it is building a student’s belief in themselves, giving them tools to navigate challenges, and celebrating each success along the way. My goal is to make learning not only effective, but transformative." less...
