"After graduating from Duke University and securing my Masters in English from UNC-G with a 4.0 GPA, I have taught English in high school and college for years as well as tutored students in elementary school and high school.

For the last eleven years, I have been helping high school students with the college admissions process. My students have been accepted at Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, Duke, UNC-CH, University of Pennsylvania, University of Florida, Purdue, UCLA, etc. I help students compile a college list, complete their personal statement, supplemental essays, the Common App, and resume, and learn about scholarships, etc.

I have edited thousands of essays for students. I am the author of a manual the city school system adopted for teaching children with learning disabilities, and I supervised the tutor training program.

For twenty years, I served on the Duke University Interview Committee and wrote a report for each student which I sent to the university. One fall, when we got our instruction packet from Duke, I looked at the sample ideal report sent to interviewers worldwide and realized it was mine.

As well as teaching and tutoring for years, I have brought up four children of my own who have gone on and gotten advanced degrees.
