"Hello!! My name is Nicole and I am currently a pre-med student studying Biomedical Engineering and Psychology at WashU.

I have a deep passion for learning, and I love utilizing any opportunity to use my knowledge towards helping others. I have volunteered with elementary kids in church communities, tutored high school students, and partnered with senior homes to proactively make a difference in my community. This has enabled me to especially gain experience working with different groups of people.

Throughout high school, I took a variety of AP / college level courses such as Calculus AB and BC (Calc I and II), Pre-Calculus, Physics, Music Theory, Biology, and many many more. I have also achieved a 33 on my ACT (33 Math, 35 English). These experiences have helped me to excel in my rigorous coursework and learn that in order to be successful in both school and with retaining long-term information, one must do more than just reread a textbook or cram notes from class. Rather, it takes a thorough understanding of the content, as well as practice in learning how to apply the knowledge towards various different problems. This is done so NOT by memorizing tactics, but by mastering concepts.

And let's be real: A 45-60 minute class is truly not enough to entirely grasp a new concept. In that case however, I am eager to share my experience and study tactics to help students drill the content that they learned in class so that it sticks!" less...
