"I am highly skilled in writing, editing, history, foreign languages, and test prep. Throughout various professional experiences I have excelled in tutoring English, Arabic, and Chinese to students from a variety of different backgrounds. I helped American K-12 students learn Chinese during my work at the US-China Institute of Bryant University in 2018 and then switched gears to teaching English to students from Mainland China in 2019. Since these two main initial experiences with teaching languages, I have tutored Arabic in a variety of settings, including my work as a reader/scribe in an intermediate Arabic class at Georgetown University. The reading/scribing at Georgetown was a one-on-one experience, though I did still attend classroom sessions with my student. The Chinese and English tutoring occurred in group settings.

I am a distinguished writer and researcher in the fields of history and international affairs. I have used the skills and techniques that I learned in my courses and in my professional experiences to tutor and train students in a variety of subject areas. A middle school student's parents hired me to help him prepare for a geography competition, which required expertise in and familiarity with complex material in the fields of political geography, human geography, and physical geography. I had the expertise necessary to devise well thought-out lesson plans in order for the student to be successful during the competition.

I trained multiple undergraduate and graduate students in editorial processes during my time as the Editor-in-Chief of a major academic journal. I worked with my colleagues to develop editorial style guidelines, which I then taught to the undergraduate and graduate students who were hired as editorial assistants.
