"Hello families,

Welcome to my Wonderful World of Learning! My name is Ms. Juliann and I am excited to meet all your learners in my classes.

I hold a valid teaching license in kindergarten-6. I am currently a fifth grade teacher working with kids of a variety of skills and needs including advanced, learners with special needs, English language learners, who all love to learn. I have taught all grades in elementary K-6 in a variety of settings in the past. I am a certified Orton Gillingham (OG) trained teacher as well. I went to Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and received a bachelor of science in elementary education with a minor in kindergarten and primary education.

I have been in classrooms for ten years in a variety of settings for grades kindergarten through sixth. I have worked at an AZA (American Zoological Association) zoo for eight years in programming with families, schools, and summer camps and taught with an ESL company online for over a year and virtually tutor one on one and group classes in reading, math, science and art topics.

My favorite part of teaching is watching students grow and achieve. I love to see students get that "AHA" moment when the lightbulb goes off. My goal in teaching is to reach each learner on their level and help them develop and grow stronger in whatever subject they are learning about during class.

I have played the flute for almost 20 years and have recently started giving young musicians lessons. I love to teach elementary ages core subjects because of the variety it give me. I have courses in music and art, reading/ELA, math, science, and social studies. I also offer private lessons for flute, conservation, and core subjects. During our classes, you may notice that I do let learners make mistakes.
