"As a middle and high school math and science teacher, I have taught every math course from 6th grade to AP Calculus and science subjects from 6th grade to AP Chemistry and Physics. I began teaching with an assignment as a Peace Corps Volunteer teacher in Kenya, Africa. After returning to the U.S., I began teaching math for the Palm Beach County School Board. I taught there from 1987 to 1992 until I started teaching with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). I taught 6 years in Korea, 8 years in Belgium, and 7 years at Quantico Middle/High School until I retired.

When I taught in Palm Beach County, I tutored math at Batt Learning Center. I was very successful with my many students because I was very patient and was able to quickly identify problems students had in whatever subject I was tutoring or teaching. My overall teaching career spans about 30 years. I enjoy working with students and helping them understand and succeed. I listen to my students and concentrate on what is most important to their success.
