"I am a lifelong writer. I have always explored concepts and ideas through writing and reading -- both in the form of hundreds and hundreds of essays throughout my studies, and creative writing and poetry. When I'm not writing myself, I love to read, as well as all other aspects of writing: especially editing!

When I'm not writing myself, I love to read, as well as all other aspects of writing: especially editing!
~ ABOUT ME ~
I graduated summa cum laude from University of Virginia with double major in Political Theory and Media Studies. In these majors I wrote many, many essays; including weekly full-length book analyses for my distinguished major program, and a 100-page thesis, for which I received highest honors. I also worked in multiple journalism jobs, writing articles. In my last year of undergrad, I self-studied for the LSAT, before going straight from UVA to Stanford Law School. There, I honed my writing skills in a new way. And, my current job is, entirely: research, analysis, and writing.
~ EXPERIENCE ~
Usually, my tutoring is through school programs or volunteering, or working with friends and classmates. I have some teaching experience, having taught acting classes for children with disabilities. I also served as a Teaching Assistant in college, and led student organizations. Most recently, I volunteered weekly to teach high school students about their rights.
~ MY APPROACH ~
I know firsthand how frustrating it can be to feel stuck or unsatisfied trying to get words on paper. I lead with patience, and simply want to help you achieve your goals. Writing, and therefore, my tutoring, is about YOU expressing YOUR thoughts, passions, ideas, or arguments, as YOU want to convey them. I am here to encourage, and remind you that you have important things to say—even when you need a little nudge. I can help at any or all steps: brainstorming & outlining, getting started writing, in-depth analyses of major points, grammar, and editing & proofreading. I will happily review writing and give feedback, and I will meet you at whatever level you are - no judgment or hesitation. I can't wait to get started!" less...
