"I didn’t always know how to write well. In fact, when I graduated high school, I struggled with writing so much that I had to start college at a local CUNY campus. That changed the summer before freshman year, when my parents hired a brilliant writing mentor who taught me how to write from the ground up—by letting me write about things I actually cared about, like The Simpsons and Led Zeppelin. He made writing engaging, structured, and personal. That one summer transformed everything.
Armed with new skills and confidence, I earned straight A’s my first year, retook the SAT, achieved a near-perfect score on the writing section, and wrote an application essay that helped me transfer to NYU—where I graduated magna cum laude and majored in literature with a focus on Shakespeare. Later, I was awarded merit scholarships to both USC Law and Fordham Law, where I ultimately earned my JD. My writing ability has opened countless doors, and now I help students do the same.
What I Offer:
I provide one-on-one writing mentorship for students at any level, from upper elementary to college. My sessions are customized, practical, and rooted in the belief that writing improves most when students are encouraged to write about topics that genuinely interest them—while learning clear structure, grammar, voice, and confidence along the way.
I help students with:
• Essay writing (school assignments, test prep, and admissions)
• College personal statements and application materials
• Creative writing and storytelling
• Academic writing and research papers
• Foundational writing skills (for younger learners or ESL students)
• Editing, résumé help, bios, and cover letters
Whether you or your child struggles with writing or just wants to excel further, I offer a thoughtful, encouraging approach that builds long-term skills and academic confidence. I know from personal experience how transformative writing can be—and I’m passionate about helping others discover that too." less...
