"Hi, I'm Michelle! I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Yale University, and have amassed 8 years of SAT and ACT tutoring experience at some of the top companies in the world, where clients were charged $250-$500/hour for my services.

In high school I was a National Merit Finalist and went on to score in the top 1% in the SAT, ACT, and GRE. I know the power of these tests all too well – through my high school grades and scores, I received an offer consisting of a full ride with additional spending money from USC’s honor school and gained entry to many of the top universities in the world. After Yale, I went on to earn my MSc from Imperial College London, and I am now a Biology PhD student in the UC system, a National Science Foundation Polar Programs scientist, and one of the only (if not the only) female Antarctic whale biopsiers and researchers in the world.

WHAT I TEACH

While I love tutoring the ACT and SAT, I also specialize in several other subjects, and tutor students in the GRE, SAT II Math, Algebra, Algebra II, Trigonometry, English, Biology, Evolution, and Ecology.

PHILOSOPHY

Tutoring has remained a constant in my life since 2012 for one primary reason – I genuinely value and appreciate working with students. The pressure that students face in school these days is enormous, and I love doing anything I can to help alleviate the stress and anxiety that comes with this. I strive to provide all of my students with a warm and empathetic learning environment that they can look forward to during each session. I believe that tutoring should never be a chore.
