"Hello! My name is Michael and I am currently attending Yale University double majoring in Computer Science and Psychology. I have expertise in tutoring USACO (I made it to the platinum division in 10th grade). Previously, I have taught at the AlphaStar Academy Summer USACO Camps. I am Platinum division in USACO and won 1st place at the ACSL All Star competition as well as the Stanford Programming Competition. I graduated from Canyon Crest Academy, a top ranked high school in California, with a 4.5/4 GPA. I took 15 AP classes with all A's, got a perfect ACT score, and was a finalist for the National Merit Scholarship, having gotten a perfect PSAT score.

I have had proven results with helping students pass their desired USACO division, and over 150 hours tutored on and off Wyzant. I have an organized curriculum for helping students wherever their current level is, and am also quick to adapt to individual student needs.

Coming from a competitive, fast-paced high school, I had to quickly figure out how to make studying as efficient as possible. From my own struggles, I learned that improving grades and scores does not have to be a grueling, painful process. However, it is one that requires careful personal analysis and insight. As such, I believe that, as a tutor, my role is not to robotically present information to every student in an identical manner, but to adapt to every student's unique strengths and weaknesses and make the information significant to them. I hope to share the techniques that allowed me to self-study and get Platinum in USACO, perfect scores on the ACT and PSAT, as well as 5's on all my AP tests.
