I am indeed certified to teach all subjects K-6 in the state of New Jersey, as well as apparel and textiles K-12. I taught at the elementary level for four years and apparel/textiles for five years at the high school level. As a native speaker, I also taught the Spanish language at the middle school level for one year in New York. Additionally, I have volunteer experience in teaching English to adults whose primary language is Spanish, as well as experience in an international school setting (Riyadh, KSA).

Just in case you were wondering… yes, I did teach virtually during the pandemic! I’m still wondering how Zoom overtook Skype.

I also offer writing tutoring because frankly, writing is a skill that has always come naturally to me and I am quite adept at proofreading. Don’t worry, I’ll be nice!

Lastly, in case you were curious, my undergraduate degree is in Fashion Studies from Montclair State University and my Master’s degree is in Global and International Education, concentrating on e-learning leadership. I also studied technical education at Brookdale Community College.

I especially love to coach the creativity in young people and witness firsthand how they prove to themselves that with a little bit of hard work, they can overcome their own doubts and negative self-talk.
