Frank (Vincent) Zappa was an American musician, songwriter, composer, record producer, and filmmaker.
Scientists have honored Zappa by naming their discoveries after him. For instance, Ferdinando Boero, biologist from Genova, named a Californian jellyfish “Phialella zappai”, noting that he had “pleasure in naming this species after the modern music composer”.
