Thousands of artificial intelligence applications have been used for years in almost every industry: scientific discovery, medical diagnosis, robot control, stock trading, remote sensing, and even toys.

Stephen Hawking says that the development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race. But, a lot of scientist don’t agree with him. They say artificial intelligence could damage society if and only it built or used incorrectly.

Today, artificial intelligence systems have impressive, but still pretty narrow capabilities. And it’s hard to imagine what it might be like for computers to experience the world, to be creative, and to dream. I can only say that the future of the human race depends on us. How we approach the development and management of artificial intelligence will have far-reaching consequences.

Thinking about the risks associated with emerging artificial intelligence technology is hard work. Let our Computer Science tutors help you to figure out all the pros and cons. And, of course, all our tutors are ready to give you the science help you need whether it studying for a science test, or finishing your science homework.

I love movies about artificial mind! But sometimes these machines look really dangerous and menacing to human beings!

The pros of AI include self-driving cars and email spam filters which I consider very useful. The major con of AI is the risk that one day robots become self-aware (singularity) and turn against their creator. But this lays in the future. For now I am more concerned about the NSA using AI to read my emails and recognize my face whereever I go.
