French in Baton Rouge, LA
I have a 7 yr old 1st Grader who attended Baton Rouge International School for PreSchool - Kindergarten, but my husband and I separated and could no longer afford the tuition. I am attempting to enroll him in South Blvd. Elementary Magnet Immersion school, but I am concerned that he may have difficulty with the admission test because he has been out of the immersion setting for an entire school year and he appears to have forgotten a large portion of the French and Spanish that were second nature to him at this time last year. I possess a working knowledge of French and know enough Spanish to get me in trouble, however he does not seem to be too receptive to his mother acting as his teacher. Therefore, I am basically seeking a tutor who can help refresh him in the basics of French and Spanish before I submit his application and schedule his testing date. Please let me know if you feel as though you maybe of assistance.
