Final Cut Pro in Portland, OR

I am a professor at PSU. I know how to import HD video from my camcorder to Final Cut Pro. Once imported, I need to learn a series of specific but relatively simple (I think) tasks on Final Cut Pro, including cutting the clips at specific locations, adding transitions, and creating a separate 4-way split-screen movie of four separate clips.
