Java in Andover, MA

Hello I am very much interested in learning Java programing ,perl and Oracle.I am slow learner also i am a biotech background person .I would like to improve my logical thinking/problem solving skills as well alongside learning java ..please help me if there is way to improve these and become a good programmer.I tried going thru logical problem solving books/puzzles but they don't interest me and i feel like giving up moment i start doing them..Could you please consider my request and help me become a good programmer.I would like to learn Data Structures and Algorithm development as well .Currently i am employed in a job with minimal pay and i am in lot of debts so i cannot afford high tuition fee .I am looking for a career change so i am trying to learn programming..I am located in St Louis,USA so i am interested in online training.
