I am looking for a tutor in Mandarin. Wo Putonghua xue le liang nian duo le. I have used two of Yong Ho's text books and completed the three volumes of the Pimsleur CD's. I have studied with a few Chinese teachers in New York although I usually work alone. I had the pleasure of studying in Beijing for five weeks this summer and I would like to continue studying for my own education and growth. My goal is to be conversant in Chinese. I find understanding and absorbing the spoken language to be very difficult. My sentence structure and grammar need much improvement. I enjoy reading Chinese characters but have spent very little time practicing writing Hanzi. The more I learn, however, the more I enjoy communicating in Chinese.
